It's possible to hire a jeep or a boat and go by yourself, but
could save yourself the hassle. Many of the tours take you to interesting

and discover Krabi's
jungle covered limestone mountains, coastal mangroves, hot springs

to learn something about local life and the countryside.
Close to Krabi province, lies Khao

reserve where you can go bamboo rafting, hiking and elephant

If you prefer a faster pace, speedboat tours go to many of the larger
islands within the extensive Marine National Park.
The Phi
Phi Islands, a spectacular island destination, can be reached
in around one hour. While Phang Nga Bay, a neighbouring province
north of Krabi, famous for it's strange and mysterious limestone
scenery, can be reached in an hour by speedboat. Both Phi Phi and
Phang Nga are often used as film locations - a testament to their
stunning beauty.
Local
Speedboat tours often include stops at other islands on route,
linking up with canoe and snorkeling operators as part of the package.
They're not as expensive as you might think.
